There is an ongoing debate about best way to improve on GP, but one recent improvement has been that the whilst it is written in a proprietary language called dexterity and was originally developed to run on CTREE and Pervasive SQL and now it has been migrated to SQL Server where some users will find that Dexterity routines will need to be re-written to incorporate SQL stored procedures. With progress comes challenge!!
