10 Claus Hansen
Despite having very recently retired from the day to day running of Columbus, in April 2011, Claus is a man with a solid track record in management in the IT industry and the original founder of Aston Group, one of the largest and fastest growing global Microsoft solution providers until the company was sold to Tectura. Now CEO of Columbus he has been responsible for overseeing the largest number of global implementations of Microsoft Dynamics. Claus has developed Columbus so that it is now operating in 30 countries, with over 1100 employees, providing 6,000 customer hours every day, and have implemented Microsoft Business Solutions for over 19 years. Claus made sure that Columbus had the best track record in the industry, with over 5,000 successful implementations in 101 countries. 2010 Position 12
9 Klaus Holse Andersen
Klaus Holse Andersen was named area vice president of Western Europe and Microsoft corporate vice president in May 2009. In this role, Andersen is responsible for overseeing sales, management and operations across 14 countries in the region. Previously, he held the role of corporate vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) sales and operations and general manager for Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen, Microsoft’s largest development centre in Europe. Andersen joined Microsoft in 2001 as the general manager for Microsoft Denmark. He was promoted to the position of EMEA vice president for Northern Europe in April 2003 and took on new responsibilities in November 2004 as EMEA vice president of MBS. In April 2005, Andersen took the position of vice president for the Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partner (SMS&P) Group. Before joining Microsoft, Andersen was the chief executive officer of Internet Ventures Scandinavia, one of Denmark’s most successful venture companies. He is presently active on the boards of a number of smaller IT companies and industry associations in Denmark. He is also a very capable marathon runner and loves skiing. 2010 Position 7
8 Jon Roskill
As head of the Worldwide Partner Group, Jon Roskill is responsible for Microsoft’s worldwide channel strategy for the company’s commercial products and cloud offerings. In this capacity, Roskill leads a global sales and marketing team comprised of 5,000 employees and Microsoft’s 640,000 independently owned-and-operated partner companies, a channel that drives 95% of Microsoft’s annual revenue. Roskill leads the effort to activate Microsoft’s diverse partner ecosystem, which includes distributors, system integrators, value-added resellers, independent software vendors, and Web application developers, to Microsoft’s new cloud offerings. Prior to assuming his current role, Roskill was corporate vice president for the U.S. Business & Marketing Office (BMO) for Microsoft, North America. In this role, Roskill led the teams responsible for all marketing activities for Microsoft’s commercial products (Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.; all product lines except Xbox and MSN/advertising) which collectively generate more than $12 billion of revenue annually. He also managed the team of 80 technical and database analytics professionals who deliver the Microsoft Worldwide Digital Marketing Platform and associated analysis and analytic models. During this tenure, Roskill provided thought leadership and direction to bringing Microsoft’s industry-leading Cloud Computing initiatives to market. Before taking a leadership role in launching Microsoft’s U.S. Subsidiary and leading the BMO, Roskill was general manager of Developer and .NET Enterprise Server marketing, where he led a team responsible for the product management and product marketing of industry-leading products such as Microsoft SQL Server database software, Commerce Server, BizTalk Server, and Microsoft Visual Studio. Roskill is also a leader in Microsoft’s community giving efforts, serving on the board of directors of the King County Boys & Girls Clubs for the past two years, and also provides leadership to Microsoft’s efforts in corporate sponsorships and marketing. 7 Jesper Balser
Jesper founded Navision in 1985 and served as the company’s CEO for 18 years. During that time Navison grew to become a leading worldwide ERP software provider for small and midsized businesses. Jesper took Navision public in 1999 and continued to lead the company until it was acquired by Microsoft in 2002. Jesper was responsible for continuing the Danish and European importance having seen more than 86% of revenues in Navision coming from Europe, Jesper made sure that the Vedbaek complex remains at the heart of the newly formed Microsoft Business Solutions, ensuring the European influence on Microsoft Dynamics to this day. After the acquisition he served as Head of Global Strategy at Microsoft Business Solutions before finally cutting direct ties with Microsoft. He continues to successfully invest in the ERP space in Europe. 2010 Position 9
6 Preben Damgaard
From 2003-2011 President & CEO, Damgaard Company A/S. The Company acts as a business angle, actively investing in selected companies that have a proven business model, leading-edge technology, and are ready to scale the business and expand either geographically or to new business areas. By October 8, 1999 Damgaard A/S was successfully listed on NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen. The IPO was lead managed by Goldman Sachs International and co-lead managed by Enskilda Securities and Nykredit Markets. The size of the offering, including the green shoe, was 3,450,000 shares, offered at a price of DKK 320. The offering was subscribed more than 16 times. The founders of the company, Erik and Preben Damgaard, still own the majority of the shares in Damgaard A/S. Damgaard A/S was represented in 11 countries with own subsidiaries and distribution in 29 countries worldwide. November 2000, Damgaard and Navision Software announced a merger of the two companies. Both companies were listed on the NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen. By merging the two companies and creating Navision a/s, the company became a leading global provider of end-to-end e-commerce and collaborative business solutions to medium-sized companies. 2000-2002 CEO of Navision a/s – Successfully merged Damgaard A/S and Navision Software A/S – forming a new company, Navision A/S. 5 Poul Kjaer
Poul is the founder and CEO of Partner Power, he is the public face of the company and responsible for developing the overall company strategy. He joined Navision A/S in 1997 as Area Manager with responsibility for the development of subsidiaries in Central and Eastern Europe, and was responsible for establishing new subsidiaries in Europe, Eastern Europe and the Far East. His networking skills are responsible for the development of Partner Power, creating the largest single network of companies capable of delivering Microsoft Dynamics. 2010 Position 15
4 Doug Kennedy
Doug Kennedy joined Microsoft Corp. in March 2008 as vice president of the Microsoft Dynamics Partners team. In this role, Kennedy is responsible for managing the overall business relationship between Microsoft and Microsoft Dynamics partners. Before joining Microsoft, Kennedy worked for Oracle Corp. for 17 years, holding various positions within Alliances and Channels, Field Sales, On Demand, and Enterprise Support. Most recently, Kennedy was Oracle’s senior vice president of Worldwide Alliances and Channels. In this role, he reported to Oracle’s president, Charles Phillips, and led the organization that was responsible for the ongoing development and execution of Oracle’s Alliances and Channel strategies and programs, partner revenue-generating initiatives, Oracle’s PartnerNetwork program, and the models for managing all of Oracle’s 20,000-plus Alliance and Channel partners. Kennedy also held technical and sales positions at IBM Corp., where he worked before joining Oracle. Kennedy graduated with a bachelor of science degree in computing science and business administration from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. 3 Mike Gillis
As senior vice president of Hitachi Consulting’s Microsoft Global Alliance, Gillis is responsible for overall client satisfaction, employee development and welfare for all Microsoft global projects. He is also responsible for the development of solutions that leverage Microsoft and manages part of Hitachi Consulting’s Microsoft Gold Certified Partner level alliance relationship with Microsoft. Gillis joined Hitachi Consulting as part of the 2007 acquisition of Iteration2, another Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, where he was a co-founder, and served as president and CEO. Iteration2 was a well-recognized leader in Microsoft Dynamics and earned acclaim as Microsoft Business Solutions US Partner of the Year in both 2005 and 2006 and as developers of Field Services for Microsoft Dynamics AX. He has worked with Microsoft and ERP systems for more than 15 years and previously served as vice president of business development for FieldCentrix, a well recognized leader in Field Service automation software and mobile computing, where he managed sales, marketing, and professional services. Gillis currently serves on several Microsoft Partner advisory councils, including the Microsoft Dynamics US Partner Advisory Council, the Microsoft Convergence Partner Advisory Council, and the Microsoft ISV Partner Advisory Council. His other entrepreneurial and start-up interests include restaurants, land development, and private schools. 2010 Position 5
2 Adam Warby
Adam works closely with the Avanade Board of Directors and his leadership team to realize the company’s mission of helping customers increase revenue, reduce costs and reinvest in innovation with proven solutions that extend Microsoft technologies. Adam joined Avanade at its inception in April, 2000, and as one of the founding members, was instrumental in building the company and shaping its culture. A senior leader, Adam has significant experience managing and growing Avanade’s business operations, having served as General Manager and Senior Vice President for the company’s North American and European operations during his tenure. As Executive Vice President, he has also led Avanade’s worldwide sales and marketing teams, and set the vision and direction for Avanade solutions. A true global citizen, Adam has lived in both Europe and North America, and has frequently travelled the globe visiting Avanade customers and regional offices. Adam came to Avanade from Microsoft, where he was General Manager of the Midwest District, responsible for sales and support of Microsoft software throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Prior to this position, he was General Manager of Microsoft’s Enterprise Services, responsible for implementing the strategy and plans for Microsoft’s direct and partner services organizations focused on enterprise customers. 1 Kirill Tatarinov
Kirill Tatarinov is the corporate vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) at Microsoft Corp. and oversees the MBS business, with responsibility for sales and marketing, R&D and operations. MBS develops and markets the line of Microsoft Dynamics products covering a broad range of functions including financial, customer relationship and supply chain management (ERP and CRM) for organizations of all sizes. Prior to joining MBS in 2007, Tatarinov led the Management and Solutions Division at Microsoft, where he was in charge of the Microsoft Windows management technologies and products, including Microsoft System Centre, Systems Management Server, Microsoft Operations Manager and Microsoft Application Centre, as well as Windows Server solutions, including Microsoft Small Business Server. Tatarinov joined Microsoft in 2002 with 15 years of experience in the software industry. Before joining Microsoft, Tatarinov was senior vice president and chief technology officer for BMC Software Inc. While at BMC he also had responsibility for corporate development and for Patrol Software business. He serves on the Seattle advisory council of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, whose mission is to help the world’s children. Tatarinov lives in the Seattle area with his family. Outside work, he spends his time skiing and is a Level-1 ski instructor, certified by the Professional Ski Instructors of America. 2010 Position 1
