20 Mark Corley
Corley has more than 25 years of experience in high technology, including software, consulting and startup worlds as well as in global leaders KPMG and Microsoft. He was named CEO of CWR Mobility BV in 2010 and has end-to-end responsibility for the entire business. Mark Corley was a General Manager in Microsoft’s Business Solutions division for seven years. During this time, he was responsible for a several areas of the business including global marketing, managing the worldwide subsidiaries, setting Dynamics channel strategy, growing the annuity businesses, and building Microsoft’s global Software + Service business for Dynamics CRM. Previously, he drove a 3-year change effort to integrate the stand-alone division into the rest of Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Corley worked for KPMG Consulting Inc. In 2000 he was named managing director in the high-tech practice and lead partner for the Microsoft account where he oversaw all consulting services provided to Microsoft. Corley moved to KPMG Consulting after five years as CEO of Los Angeles-based Select One, where he built and managed an alliance of IT-consulting firms. He previously spent eight years as president of Software Creations, a full-service IT-consulting firm. Mark Corley holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Southern California and a BSc in International Management and Finance from Georgetown University. 19 Eric Wauters
Eric is one of the founding partners of iFacto Business Solutions (www.ifacto.be). With his 10 years of technical expertise, he is an everyday inspiration to its development team. As development manager he continually acts upon iFacto’s technical readiness and guarantees that he and iFacto are always on top of the latest Microsoft Dynamics NAV developments. Apart from that, Eric is also very active in Microsoft Dynamics NAV community-life where he tries to solve technical issues and thrives to share his knowledge with other Dynamics NAV enthusiasts. Surely, a lot amongst you will have read some of Eric’s posts on Mibuso.com, Dynamicsusers.net or his own blog (www.waldo.be), which he invariably signs with “waldo”. A few years ago, he co-founded the Belgian Dynamics Community, a platform for all Belgian Dynamics NAV users, consultants and partners, enabling knowledge sharing and networking. 18 Andy Snook
Andy Snook is a Vice President at Fastpath Solutions, a leader in compliance solutions for mid-market companies. Andy has been working with Dynamics GP since 1999, and has assisted with compliance projects at over 100 companies that use Dynamics GP. Andrew is certified in Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SAP, and has been a speaker at several conferences including Microsoft Convergence. Prior to his work at Fastpath, Andy was a GP implementation consultant and worked on the management consulting team at Ernst & Young. Andy currently leads the Dynamic Communities team which provides administration and facilitation of the Dynamics AX User Group (AXUG), the Dynamics GP User Group (GPUG), the Dynamics NAV User Group (NAVUG) and the Dynamics CRM User Group (CRMUG). Recognized by Microsoft as the primary, global User Groups for their Dynamics products, these groups foster education, knowledge sharing, networking, and feedback for the communities of user companies. Prior to helping establish Dynamic Communities, Andy served as CIO of PRIDE Enterprises in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA. PRIDE is a diversified manufacturer with over 40 manufacturing facilities. PRIDE leverages Microsoft Dynamics products to enable its complex business. Previously in Andy’s professional career, Andy was CIO of Norsk Hydro North America, a globally focused division of Norsk Hydro based in Oslo, Norway. 16 Mark Polino
Mark Polino is a CPA and Microsoft MVP for Dynamics GP. Mark has worked with Dynamics GP as a user and consultant for more than 12 years. He works as a Principal Consultant with premier Microsoft Dynamics Partner, I.B.I.S., Inc. In addition to his work with I.B.I.S., Mark runs the popular DynamicAccounting.net blog dedicated to helping users get the most out of Microsoft Dynamics GP. In 2011 he launched MyGPSearch.com, a custom search site designed to search Dynamics GP online resources for support help. He is the creator of the extremely popular “50 Tips in 50 Minutes for Dynamics GP” series for Microsoft’s Convergence conference. Mark speaks regularly on Dynamics GP related topics at conferences such as Microsoft Convergence, the GPUG Summit, PartnerConnections, iSight, and MSDynamicsWorld’s Decisions. He has both the highest rated session and been the highest rated speaker at past Convergence conferences. Mark is author of the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Cookbook from Packt Publishing. In addition, Packt Publishing is set to release a “Lite” version of his book in the spring of 2011. Mark writes regular columns for MSDynamicsWorld.com and the Dynamics Community site. He continues work on a series of Best Practice Guides for Dynamics GP; available on DynamicAccounting.net. His newest writing project involves creating fictional stories around Dynamics GP to highlight the software’s features in a more approachable way. Along with being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Mark is an AICPA Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) and he is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). 15 Torben Wind
Torben Co-founded Navision in 1984 and was director of product development until the merger with Damgaard and the following acquisition by Microsoft in 2002. He managed numerous development cycles of PCPlus and Navigator/Navision. He then took part in the design of next generation ERP (Microsoft Dynamics) as a software architect at Microsoft Development Centre Copenhagen. He is now an investor in NorthCap Partners who invest in Danish ERP companies. 2010 Position 23
14 Leen Zevenbergen
Leen Zevenbergen’s background illustrates his extensive entrepreneurial skills as well as his strong management qualities. Starting as an accountant with degrees in business economics (1983) and accountancy (1984) from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, Mr. Zevenbergen (1958) became an entrepreneur early in his career. He founded many companies, including Bolesian Systems in 1985 and Escador in 2000. In between, he fulfilled management and director’s positions at Roccade and Origin. In 2006, he published “En nu laat ik mijn baard staan” (And now I’ll grow a beard), which became management book of the year, and Mr. Zevenbergen became a well-known speaker and coach. In 2009 he published “ ‘t Is Groen en Groener wordt het niet”. He was appointed as CEO of Qurius NV at the Annual General Meeting of 29 April 2010. 2010 Position 21
13 Erik Ernst
Erik is a pioneer in the Dynamics world with 19 years of heavy duty Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) experience in basically all areas (support, training, consultant, implementation, sales, development, project management) obtained via work in Denmark and the USA for various resellers and end users,. Erik was the first to be awarded MVP for Navision in 2004, and his passion for the product and the community shines through in all that he does. Erik is best known for being the founder the Navision Online User Group (now Dynamics User Group or dynamicsuser.net) it was started as a simple mailing list in 1995 with a few recipients, but now has over 49,000 members and an extensive database of over 100,000 questions and answers primary about Dynamics NAV, Dynamics AX, Dynamics GP and Dynamics CRM. When he’s not working for the community, then he is doing freelance assignments and working on his new company Dynamics Experts, which is a mix between a partner, a recruiter and a freelance network. 2010 Position 13
12 Allison Watson
As corporate vice president of the Business & Marketing Group for North America, Watson leads marketing and strategic business development for Microsoft’s largest geographic market. In this role, Watson is responsible for all marketing activities for Microsoft’s products, including Microsoft’s commercial cloud offerings. Prior to assuming her current role in 2010, Watson spent eight years as head of the Worldwide Partner Group, directing Microsoft’s worldwide strategy for the diverse ecosystem of more than 640,000 independently owned-and-operated partner companies that support Microsoft and its customers in 170 countries. Watson established world-class channel leadership, reinvigorated Microsoft’s partner commitment and engagement, and delivered the Microsoft Partner Network, which set new standards in the industry. Watson also brought partner satisfaction to a record high in 2010. Watson has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades. CRN named Watson one of “The Most Powerful Women of the Channel,” Channel Chief, and Channel Exec of the Year. In 2009, Business Week named Watson as one of the top people to watch to gauge the economic recovery. Watson’s career at Microsoft, beginning in 1993, includes several successful stints in sales and marketing management. 2010 Position 19
11 Doug Burgum
Doug was the founder and CEO of Great Plains who continued to have success when on finally joining Microsoft, just 20 years after first having the chance, he led Microsoft’s acquisition of Navision. By 2000 Doug had ensured that the company founded by mortgaging a farm had more than 2200 direct employees and turnover in excess of $200million, making the Microsoft buy out both inevitable and expensive. The two companies combined to create Microsoft Business Solutions. He left Microsoft to set up his own seed funding company Arthur Ventures where he continues to invest in Information Technology, Life Sciences, and Clean Technology. 2010 Position 10
