The author has studied Computer Science in the Netherlands. After completing his education he has developed software for the medical, local government and telecom industries. Dick started working in 2001 for Navision Netherlands where he was giving technical trainings and managing escalations at partner support. He became member of the localisation team of Dynamics AX when Navision became part of Microsoft. His career continued for a short period at Watermark and for the last past years Dick is working for Crimsonwing Promentum where he’s part of skilled team responsible for ramping up Partners on Dynamics AX. Dick specialized himself on performance and integration with Dynamics AX and he’s ask frequently to consult partners and also Microsoft in Europe. 60 Jim Glass

After 20 years in the U.S. Army as an Engineer, I came to Microsoft to start a new career. That was in 1992, and I’ve been here ever since. After working on the Windows NT team, I moved from the Visual Studio team to the Customer Relationship Management team. For seven years I was the documentation manager of the Visual Studio SDK team. I am now the CRM community guru owning the web and community experience for the Microsoft Dynamic CRM partners and customers. I run the CRM Team Blog and blog myself at the CRM Riff. I coordinate with our 34 CRM MVPs who spend much of their time answering questions in the MSDN forums, writing CRM apps, and writing books. 59 Brian Ocheltree

Brian Ocheltree founded his first business, Micropro Consultants, in 1983 while completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. In 1988, Micropro Consultants was acquired by Friedman & Fuller, PC, a public accounting firm in Rockville, MD. In 1992 he founded e.magination, a Maryland based application development firm (http://www.emagination.com). As e.maginations CEO, Brian lead the firm to becoming a Microsoft Gold Certified partner, and a Managed Microsoft Partner in both the commercial and public sector verticals with a staff of over 10 full time professionals. In August, 2004, Brian sold e.magination and began work on PartnerPoint, which was launched April of 2005. PartnerPoint quickly became the largest community of Microsoft Partners worldwide with over 15,000 active members, and connects its members with customers and other partners looking for help. 2010 Position 17

58 Rene Gayer

Rene is one of the most highly regard teachers of Dynamics and it has been his main interest since 1998. It appears as if NAV is very easy for Rene and it is this ease that he has used to be able to develop this into a business to show others how to make NAV simple enough to train others. After some years his experience in this area led to the founding of his own company, MBS-TRAINING, which today is the prime partner for IT-companies in Austria and Switzerland, getting ready to use Microsoft Dynamics. Beside that he regularly delivers speeches as a Promoter and MVP about Microsoft and works as a lecturer at various universities of applied sciences. Rene was first awarded the NAV MVP in 2007 and he has maintained this year in every year since. Frank is the President of Workopia Inc a premier Microsoft Dynamics CRM certified specialist for small and medium size businesses across America, Workopia began in 2003 and has grown to be the preeminent Dynamics CRM practice. Frank has been actively involved with Microsoft CRM implementations since v1.0 beta (2002). He has consistently achieved the MVP for Microsoft Dynamics, and his ability to customise not only small CRM solutions but the larger implementations comes from his previous Siebel experience. He is widely renowned in the channel as a speaker and his convergence talks are the most blogged in the CRM space. 2010 Position 14

55 Torben Brammer

Torben is VisionPeople’s CEO, which he began in response to his previous employer requiring a system to support the administration of sales and he therefore set about building one. Torben’s first foray was into the new version in the Navision Navigator environment. VisionPeople now employs more than 30 people and acts as both a consultant and a development company, working with customers on strategy and business planning as well as system development and implementation. Torben created a subsidiary company, ShipCentric, to focus exclusively on providing Navision-Microsoft applications to the marine industry. ShipCentric opened a Seattle office in 2009; both to serve the US market and to strengthen its relationship with Microsoft, and will soon add an office in Singapore. Jeff Edwards is the Director of Dynamics ERP Channel Strategy with responsibility for global partner business models and partner programs as well as long-term channel strategy. Prior to this, he also held various roles in Microsoft Dynamics ERP, including Director of ERP Product Marketing and Director of Industry Solutions. Edwards joined Microsoft in 2001 with 10+ years of technology experience in Europe, Latin America and the United States. Darryl is the CEO of MTC Management Technology Consulting and The Community Resource for CRM Success DynamicsExchange.com Darryl has built MTC to a company with now more than 30 employees and the success has been built on the development of the free offer of ConsultPro Professional Services Practice Management solution to Microsoft Dynamics partners to use internally to manage their practice and as a platform to sell its 25 components and associated development services. Andre has moved back this year to Microsoft in Brazil, and he brings with him his 13 years of experience in AX. Andre has previously been involved in the localization of AX 4 for Brazil. Andre is also one of the rare breed to have skills within both AX and NAV and as such he has been sort out for his skills across the CONE region. Andre has built a reputation with his ability to find solutions for clients and that is something that he is looking to bring to the new role in Microsoft. He has the requisite knowledge to successfully deploy for customizations and integrations for customers and to ensure that the work done can be used as successful case studies for Microsoft on a global basis. Vjekoslav Babic has twelve years of experience in the IT industry, mainly in software development and business management software implementation. He has spent the last five years implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV, mainly for upper mid-size enterprises, but has also worked on big hub-and-spoke global implementations for large multinational corporations.
