Satya over the last 4 5 years has made a major impact on the greater Dynamics community within the Middle East. Having been educated in India Satya began his career with LS2 Computing and he had soon built a solid reputation, which soon saw Satya moving to Columbus. As the delivery director for Qatar Satya has elevated Columbus to the preeminent Dynamics provider in Qatar. He is valued not only for his straight forward solution providing as well as having a panache for Project Management, this panache continues in his twitter feeds. NEW ENTRY

69 Guobjartur Pall Guobjartsson

Gudbjartur is one of those NAV experts from the community to have achieved such a following that he has gained his own nickname and that is very apt NAV magician. This in no small part is from his previous career which saw Gudbjartur become the Co-founder of Navision UK, as well as the founder of Navision IS. The reputation that he garnered for himself in these start ups has made him an enduring member of the Nav crowd and it was his drive that helped create the success that NAV has gone on to be in these markets. Gudbjartur was then founder of Landsteinar one of the most successful Dynamics NAV VARs in Europe. Gudbjartur then went on to become the TEC-brain behind LS Retail which is the standard bearer for implementations of retail in the Dynamics channel. 2010 Position 68

68 Leslie Vail

Leslie Vail has developed a following not least for her invaluable friendship and contributions to strengthen the Dynamics GP MVP community. Which is seen both in her role as an experienced consultant and trainer for Microsoft DynamicsGP, as well as the fact that she has not changed since implementing Dynamics Version 1. Leslie has a growing reputation as a frequent and insightful contributor to newsgroups and user groups. She is also one of the few people who actually understands how to get the best out of Report Writer and her book Confessions of a Dynamics GP Consultant is a must read for end users and VARs alike. 67 Kees Hertogh

Kees is regarded as one of the most inspiring managers within Microsoft and his career in Microsoft has spanned over 10 years since his position as Product Director at Navision Software in 1999 in which he was able to increase the take up of Navision with a number of new verticals coming on stream at this time. He has since moved through Microsoft where he has been the Competitive Strategy Director and is now back to his previous title of Product Director, but now in a slightly larger channel which Kees has taken over in 2007 and since then has seen the technical advancements in Dynamics and is now beginning to bring the different elements of Dynamics together. Kees has also joined the blogosphere with an entertaining and informative twitter account which encapsulates Kees. 2010 Position 64

66 Stian Stabell

Stain is one of the most highly regarded developers, and is currently working for Hands AS in Norway. Stain has a vast experience which began in ERP back in the mid 80s and with Axapta as it was then and XAL back in 1999. With AX experience of all the versions from 2.0 Stain is considered to be one of the most highly experienced and qualified developers in Norway. Stain is always available to help others to take advantage of his experience. 65 Steven Weaver

Currently employed by Columbus IT UK as a consultancy team leader Steve Weaver has been actively involved in, what’s now termed as, Microsoft Dynamics since 2000. During the last 4 years after joining Columbus Steve has been involved in over 20 AX implementations with the largest being a multi-million pound global implementation. Steve’s specialism is around trade and logistics and production elements of the projects, evolving from his stock auditing and manufacturing background. He is fully certified as an AX consultant and can also cover CRM, Service and MDIS solutions from FullScope and To-Increase. Steve is highly regarded in the Dynamics world due to his vast experience, knowledge and impartial views and advice. In 2005, Steve became the first UK based Microsoft Dynamics NAV MVP, gaining this accolade for his high-quality contribution and real-world technical expertise. Steve now utilises the industry and product focused social networking sites to share his natural tendency to advise where possible. Since 2007 his posts on forums including www.dynamicusers.net and www.mibuso.com as “AdamRoue” have moved from a NAV focus to an AX focus which has mirrored the rise of AX in the market place. 64 Jens Bach Larsen

With more than 20 years of practice, Jens Bach Larsen is one of Microsoft Dynamics’ pioneers. Jens was a Program Manager for the development of the Sales & Marketing module of Dynamics NAV and has implemented Dynamics for a number of large corporations and famous brands including Bang & Olufsen, Boots and Fred Perry. In 1991 Jens established Celenia Software’s development centre in Eastern Europe. Within 6 years he grew it to become the largest Dynamics development facility in the world employing more than 350 people. Jens is currently Director of IT at Sonova, based at the company’s headquarters in Switzerland. 63 Carsten Howitz

Carsten Howitz commenced his Dynamics career in 1990 when he began his employment for a Navision value added reseller (VAR) in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1994, he founded DataPro Group, a premier Navision VAR in Denmark, where he successfully nurtured the business into a team of 75 employees in offices located in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. DataPro Group providing software sales and support, delivering hundreds of Navisionprojects, in Northern Europe and Africa. In 2001, he relocated and continued his entrepreneurial pursuits in the United States where he founded SimCrest, Inc in Dallas, Texas. SimCrest is a Dynamics NAV reseller which has flourished under his guidance and developed a strong customer base. Recognizing that customers had additional functionality requirements not found in standard ERP packages, he led SimCrest to additionally become a premier World-wide Industry Solution Vendor (ISV),which has designed, developed, and sold many successful Dynamics Add-ons such as Print2Excel, Credit Card Management, Product Configurator, and eBank Reconciliation. To address the further need for accessing Dynamics NAV on SmartPhones, Carsten established Qiwi Mobility LLC in 2009.Today, Qiwi, for both iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile, is the only fully customizable mobile solution for Dynamics NAV. Carsten Howitz is an industry recognized, accomplished Project Management Professional (PMP) and has written several industry acknowledged articles regarding the implemention of project management principles in Dynamics projects. 61 Jimmi Jakobsen

Jimmi is the designer and developer behind bidatask finance which is beginning to develop into what could become a free entry level into NAV or AX. His previous experience as of the founders of the partner accelerator Cimbax shows that he can build companies as well as he builds developments in AX. Jimmi is one of the few developers to have taken responsibility for increasing the maturity of the Dynamics products. With a 12 year development history in Dynamics AX, which has included the first development of AX within a major banking organisation, he is now at the forefront of the development of AX products as add-ons. Jimmi was previously responsible for building up the MBS business for Ementor Denmark. Jimmi made this business EMEA certified in Axapta and through this made very interesting contracts both public and government. Jimmi is now responsible for the product development of Doktool, which is reinventing how documentation is provided in the Microsoft Dynamics community. 2010 Position 70
