Important Information for Microsoft Dynamics RMS Customers

There has been a lot of confusion in the market place around the future of Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS). We are happy to say, RMS is alive and well and will continue to be sold through 2016

PRLog (Press Release) – Aug 30, 2011 – There has been a lot of confusion in the market place around the future of  Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS).  We are happy to tell you that Microsoft Dynamics RMS is here to STAY!

Let’s set the record straight. Microsoft is the ONLY vendor who can actually point to a ten plus year plan and share with you their goals.  Dynamics RMS, as we know it today, will continue to be supported through 2020.    The product will continue to be sold through 2016.

Development efforts of the Dynamics RMS team are focused on providing the best of brand product and technology for the future.  The new product will be based on the AX development tools and called AX for Retail version 7.6, which is currently scheduled for release in late 2015.

Dynamics RMS customers who are current with their Microsoft enhancement plan will be able to migrate to the AX product at no charge for Software when the AX for Retail product is released. InterDyn LANAC will  work with your organization on the migration from Dynamics RMS to AX for Retail when that time comes.

For the record, the current version of AX for Retail, including the 2012 releases next year are designed for VERY LARGE retail operations and isn’t the product that you will want to acquire in 2015.  Anyone who has suggested otherwise is not well informed and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused.  The pricing for AX for Retail V7.6 product, when released, will be based on a concurrent user basis.

We recommend that if you are NOT presently a Dynamics RMS customer that you acquire Dynamics RMS now under the current pricing model and then get the AX for Retail V7.6 software  FREE when it’s released.
