The product provides document management and delivery for NAV 3.6, 3.7, 4.0, 5.0, 2009 (including the role tailored client).  Integration is with both Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS)

There are two main modules, Zetadocs Delivery Essentials and Zetadocs Server (Zetadocs Delivery Essentials may be purchased on its own or with Zetadocs Server) plus there is a SDK for customizations.  It is “Certified for Microsoft Dynamics” accredited. 

Zetadocs Delivery Essentials sends NAV reports such as invoices, statements and remittance advice by email and fax – both singly and in batches.  It automatically generates personalized covering emails, applies logos and overlays, and adds attachments such as terms and conditions.  This all saves time and ensures consistency of both content and presentation to protect the user’s legal position and corporate image. Every document produced is archived to SharePoint or a network folder so that other authorized users may have appropriate on screen access.  This helps improve the service offered to suppliers and customers, while reducing the need for paper files.

The electronic delivery of sales, purchasing and other reports saves direct costs as well as time when compared to relying on paper, envelopes and traditional mail.  Equisys say that most users find that the product offers a return on investment within three to six months.

Zetadocs Server captures inbound documents, whether received by email, fax or on paper.  Everything is stored in SharePoint in searchable form and linked to the appropriate NAV record such that all supporting paperwork for a transaction is instantly available on screen.  This helps with on screen approval processes, audit, compliance and customer service – while reducing or removing the need for paper.

This is a very useful add-on that can be essential for any sized business in any industry which wants to automate potentially time consuming mundane tasks but it can also give a professional and consistence feel to any business.
